1. Upload Videos to Chinafy
- Log in to Chinafy Dashboard and select your site
- Go to Site Rules (Expert) > Compatibility > Videos
- Select the video you'd like to optimise for China*
- Select "Upload Video" to upload a video file from your local device
- No action is required from you thereafter as our system will do the rest for you. Depending on your file size and the status of our file server, the conversion process may take anywhere between 30 minutes to 72 hours to complete.
2. Copy Videos to Chinafy
- Follow the step 1 to 3 (above)
- Select "Copy Video"
- No action is required from you thereafter as our system will do the rest for you. Depending on your file size and the status of our file server, the conversion process may take anywhere between 30 minutes to 72 hours to complete.
FAQ #1: How long does it take to process videos with Chinafy?
Chinafy video support is a two-part process that involves i) resource discovery and ii) file conversion. A number of variables such as file size or discovery time add up to the total processing time.
i) Resource discovery happens almost instantly if you're able to send us user requests for the new video file. This can be done simply by viewing the newly uploaded video on your Chinafy preview (linked here). We also are able to discover them naturally at a later time upon cache expiry.
ii) File conversion takes anywhere between 30 minutes and 48 hours depending on file size and server availability

FAQ #3: Unable to locate your video on Dashboard?
There are a few possibility for this. See some common ones below.
a) Chinafy Scan is pending on your URLs
Enter URL of the page with your embedded video via Visual Speed Test so our server can prioritise it for scanning.
You may also browse your Chinafy preview (works even outside of China) to do the same.
The video should be detected on the Chinafy Dashboard shortly after.
Note: Chinafy is also able to discover the video at a later time upon live visits.
b) Our player is incompatible with your videos
Chinafy works best with direct embeds with Vimeo and YouTube. If you're using other ways to embed video content on your site, enquire with your account manager for site-specific support.
