Chinafy Go Live Checklist

First time going live a Chinafy site? Follow the best practices below to ensure a smooth process.

✅ 1. Test your Chinafy preview

Before go-live, your Chinafy preview is made available to you for comments. Feel free to browse around and let us know if anything stands out to you.

Please note that your Chinafy (preview) sites inherit your cache rules to help stay in sync with your original site.

Check with your developers to identify specific resources that need to be updated frequently and define their cache time accordingly. The lower the cache time is, the shorter it takes to refresh any future updates.

✅ 3. Identify your DNS Manager & Admin

The go-live process requires a quick update on your DNS so check with your developers and request their help to make the requisite updates for you (with guides below).

You may otherwise familiarise yourself with the process to update DNS by following guides by your domain providers (e.g. GoDaddy). 

If you need further assistance, you're recommended to contact your domain providers directly as they're the most familiar with their set-up.

✅ 4. Read go-live instructions

Depending on your subscribed domain, you may go live with one of the following guides. Take a look in advance and ask us any questions if something's unclear to you:

1. Apex domains (e.g. yoursite.com)
2. Non-apex domains (e.g. www.yoursite.com)
3. Cloudflare sites

✅ 5. Set up a time for go-live with your Chinafy Account Manager

Standby support will be made available to you during the scheduled time. 

✅ 6. Update your TTL (i.e. Time to live) to 3600

Lower your TTL before go-live to accelerate DNS propagation of your Chinafy site. You're recommended to do this 24 hours before go-live.

✅ 7. Confirm go-live is completed with Chinafy

Send us a screenshot of your DNS settings so we can verify updates alongside you. No action is required from you thereafter except to wait for DNS propagation to complete :)
