This article is about what happens after you input your information in our Get Started Form, as available across our site.
Timeline: The Chinafy set-up process takes about 1.5-2 weeks for most sites from subscription date to Go Live.
Step 1: Input your Site
Input your website & contact information into our Get Started Form
Step 2: Check your email inbox
Titled: "Chinafy <> [Your Company Name]"
Every site is slightly different. For this reason, our team at Chinafy runs an initial analysis on your site to determine the -
i) Current performance of your site in China
ii) What improvements you can expect with Chinafy
iii) The complexity of your site & scope of custom work required
iv) Next steps
Once we've tested your site and are confident that we can help optimise your site for China, we then contact you at your provided email address with our findings within 24 hours.
P.S. Didn't receive an email from us within 24 hours? Please check your spam folder and then make sure to add info@chinafy.com as a contact in your mailbox to ensure you receive future emails. Still can't find it? Email us at info@chinafy.com to let us know!
Step 3: Subscribe to your Chinafy Plan
Once you've replied to our email to verify your email address, we can then help you generate your account to login and process your subscription.
This is a step-by-step guide to kickstart your subscription via the Chinafy Dashboard.
Example of a Subscription Page below in the Chinafy dashboard under 'Accounts & Billing'.
Step 4: Site Configuration
There is no action needed (from your part) at this stage.
Once you've subscribed, our engineers will then get the green light to configure your site. This involves
- Scanning the site fully to identify blocked and or slow resources
- Setting rules to replace or remove blocked resources with a China-friendly equivalent and optimising existing resources for better delivery
- Putting your Chinafy version on our technology stack which includes hosting modified files with our CDN
- Setting rules so that the Chinafy version of the site is synchronised with your original site
Step 5: Preview Link
Once the configuration process is completed, we'll pass you a preview link for you and your team to take a look through. While our team will have taken a look to check for interactivity, deliverability, and overall performance to the best of our ability - we check in with your team as native experts of your own site.
Some refinements are expected at this stage, but we'll make sure to help onboard you before we Go Live.
Step 6: Go Live
The final step is turn your 'Chinafy site on live' by making a quick update on your DNS. For most sites, this is as simple as updating a CNAME record.
We can help you Go Live on your behalf or check out our Go Live section on how to do so as you like. This is generally a quick 5-15 minute step.
